Please note:
  • These lotteries are seniority-based, randomized within the same class year.
  • Lottery numbers and the pick order with your specific timeframe will be sent out via email once the numbers have been run.
  • Selection for these lotteries are held in the Office of Student Life, Paresky 2nd floor.  The August, December, and January Mini-Lotteries are conducted at least partially via phone.
  • If you can’t be available for your selection time, designate a proxy on the form who you trust to make your housing selection for you.
  • In advance of the draw, be sure to prepare, do your homework, and be ready to make your choice right away when it’s your turn to choose.  Our website has a ton of info readily available.
  • If you or your proxy are not at the lottery at the time of your pick, you will be assigned a room by the Office of Student Life.
  • A listing of available rooms can be found through Google Sheets (updated & linked for each mini-lottery).
  • By submitting the form below, you are giving up the housing assignment you currently have, for anyone else to take during selection. (You may re-take the room if it’s still available when it’s your turn to select a room, if you wish to do so.)
  • The default is that double-room occupants are the same gender. However, doubles may be gender-neutral if both students agree to it.  Both students (or their proxies) will need to confirm this at the time of the pick, so you should confer in advance if you’re thinking of doing this and make sure they are on-board with it and that they (or their designated proxy) are in attendance.
  • You may pull another person who is in the lottery, into an open double with you if that person hasn’t already chosen a room when it’s your turn.  That person (or his/her proxy) will need to confirm this at the time of your pick, so you should confer with that person in advance if you’re thinking of doing this and make sure they or their proxy is on-board with it.
  • If you choose half of an open double, you may have a roommate who selects the other half after you. If you do not have a roommate by the end of this draw, it is possible you will have a roommate at some point later on. Double-singles cannot be guaranteed.
  • Gender caps will be monitored.
